I like him in my Gollum deck... Fat One Wants It, Final Strike, Heavy Burden, Gollum, Stinker, Ithil Stone. He comes out for quite cheap in the end.

Gollum is the best. He adds burdens, maybe try Heavy Burden, since your threats will come back. Plotting can be awesome, because the cost of it will be leveled with the cost of Sauron in some cases, but you have all the threats you need.
Crashed Gate is your best friend, you have everything you need, and like Kralik said: Ithil Stone! You have got to love him. For protection: Sweeter Meats.

Also Besiegers can use Sauron, I think.

Me thinks so, too.

No seriously, I think nearly all Decks that use Burdens, Threats or Site Control (or even more than just one of these strategies) can have one or two copies of Sauron, TlotR in their Decks.

I have him in a deck with Enquea TOTO, and Gollum with Captured By the Ring, Fat One Wants It, and Evil Smelling Fens.  I add burdens and threats fairly easily and don't have to hold onto Sauron because I can grab him with the fens.

Same. Though keeping in hand can help if you have Ithil Stone down.

So what's the Gollum/Sauron decklist? I've acquired many cards for a potential deck...I remember an article on the old Cobra Cards forum posting about it, anyone of you willing to post it up here? :S

Shadow (34 cards)
2x Sauron, The Lord of The Rings
1x Gollum, Dark As Darkness
3x Gollum, Stinker
3x Shelob Her Ladyship
3x Ulaire Enquea, Thrall of The One
1x Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul
1x Ulaire Cantea, Faster Than Winds
2x Ithil Stone
4x Captured By The Ring
1x So Polite
2x Fat One Wants It
4x Evil Smelling Fens
3x They Stole It
3x Promise Keeping
1x Heavy Burden

Key sites:
Hall of the Kings
Crashed Gate
Northern Ithilien
Dagorlad

Use Captured By The Ring, Fat One Wants It, Ulaire Cantea Faster Than Winds and sites to add threats, use Gollum, Stinker and Ulaire Enquea, Thrall of The One to add burdens, use Shelob Her Ladyship to paralyze their best companion and for archery protection. Sauron, The Lord of The Rings should make an appearance a couple of times. Use Ithil Stone to exert Enquea, TOTO when possible. Use They Stole It with Promise Keeping for major damage and cycling.

This is a fun deck to play and highly successful. 2x copies of Sauron is probably enough. (This is a Sauron topic so I originally thought 3x would be more appropriate). An extra fens is better than a 3rd copy of Sauron.

Out:
1x Sauron, The Lord of The Rings

In:
1x Evil Smelling Fens

Do you guys think site manipulation would work? (Is it even legal?) The original deck had Third of the Nine Riders to constantly replay Courtyard Parapet etc for burdens....that said, thanks for the decklists guys. Now to begin playtesting them....when I get time that is. :D
