You are missing some of the cards that give you pool during the maneuver phase for Gandalf and his staff to kick in. Stuff like Mithrandir! Mithrandir!, Roll of Thunder, and Down From the Hills.

Moment of Respite is always nice for anything where Gandalf exerts or takes wounds.

Why Gondorian Sword over Blade of Gondor? Also, I don't like the companions: other cards ratio in this deck. I would likely run a stronger Ring-bearer in this deck...someone like Isildur, Bearer of Heirlooms. Worst case scenario, you face two [Dunland] minions at site two with your deck as it is and poor Frodo gets killed.

Why not Gimli, Son of Gloin?

I feel like you don't have enough copies of your companions and your possessions will jam your hand. I always thought that if I wanted to play a card on a specific companion (ex. Radagast's Staff), you must have at least 2 copies of that companion in your deck (ex. Radagast). Otherwise you may be stuck with his staff in your hand during the entire game. But in your deck, you play 30/30 so its not that bad.

Your shadow looks like the kind of deck I used to have when I started playing. Your choices of minions are decent, but you will need more rare cards to make it better.

Speaking to c-work's point, a copy of Gandalf's cart may help.

@ ket: I chose gondorian sword so I could play it on both gorn and boromir.  This prevents clogging.  moment of respite is a great idea!  The only problem with Isi as an RB is that he doesn't have the gandy sig.  Thanks for the feed back.

@ c-work: I know what you mean by stacking cards, and like you pointed out, running a 30/30 deck helps a lot.  Yes, this does mean I have to discard useless cards at times, but that is the name of the game.  LOTR is all about sacrafice.  What sacrafices were made in order to endure Frodo reached Mt. Doom. Very deep... And yes, i really need more rares for my shadow. I would love to get my hands on those rares too.  Perhaps someday when I am rich and famous.  I also think I should look through the minions I have and see if I can't focus more on minions who receive bonuses from wounded RB's.  Thanks

Well, your RB doesn't need to have a signet as you already have more than 3 companions with the Gandalf signet to make Trust me as you once did work well.

Do you have the twilight Nelya? It could be nice with your shadow.

I do, but since he doesn't wound the RB i didn't stick him in.  However, I see where you're going in using nelya.  That is a really good idea. I could drop an axe, and a destroyer and add in 2 copies of nelya.

This deck is a little larger than what you have now (34 cards), but it better balanced and you will likely draw the cards you need at more convenient times. A Wizard Is Never Late can grab Gandalf, the White Wizard, Radagast, the Brown or even Barliman Butterbur, Prancing Pony Proprietor if you need a [Gandalf] event back in a pinch.

The weapons are pretty standard for the companions you are running; Boromir, Defender of Minas Tirith doesn't get a weapon because he's pretty much your last hurl guy.

I think Down From the Hills is a pretty neat card if you can pull it off. Making someone like Aragorn, Gimli, or even Gandalf himself near invincible is never a bad thing. Can be great for a site right before a sanctuary or if you have some extra Might of Numenor in hand.

Starting:
Isildur, Bearer of Heirlooms with The One Ring, Answer to All Riddles
Gimli, Son of Gloin
Legolas, Elven Comrade

Free Peoples:
Gandalf, The White Wizard
Radagast, the Brown
Aragorn, Heir of Elendil x3
Boromir, Defender of Minas Tirith*

Barliman Butterbur, Prancing Pony Proprietor

Glamdring, Lightning Brand
Gandalf's Staff, Focus of Power
Narya
Radagast's Staff
Dwarven Axe
Bow of the Galadhrim
Long-Knives of Legolas*
Anduril, Flame of the West
Narsil, Blade of the Faithful

Trust Me As You Once Did x3
Moment of Respite x2

A Wizard Is Never Late x4
Down From the Hills x2
Might of Numenor x3
Deep In Thought
Roll of Thunder

Hope this idea helps.

As for your Shadow, I am afraid that it is very unorganized, and frankly, not very strong.

Here would be something with a little more power and at 34 cards (with cycling), will fit nicely with the Free Peoples I proposed:

Shadow:
The Witch-King, Lord of the Nazgul x2
Ulaire Nelya, Ringwraith in Twilight x3
Ulaire Enquea, Ringwraith in Twilight x3
Morgul Brute x4
Morgul Destroyer x4
Morgul Whelp x3
Morgul Skulker x2
Gollum, Dark as Darkness

Fell Beast x4

His Terrible Servants
Stronghold of Minas Morgul
Fat One Wants It
Evil-Smelling Fens

Captured By the Ring x4

I think that Gollum, Dark as Darkness was definitely missing from your previous effort, as was Morgul Brute. Certainly some of these cards may be harder to come across in real life, but if you are playing on GCCG you will have access to all of them.

I'd rather play 3 copies of Aragorn, Ranger of the North! He's also got the Gandalf Sig, and he's just awesome with Down from the Hills: Exert Gandi 3 times, Gorn 3 times and Gorn takes 5 minions without any problems. Did you say swarm, btw? ;)

As for the site-path, there are several directions you could take this. I would probably do something like this:

Rohirrim Road
Rohirrim Camp
Hall of the Kings
Anduin Banks
Steward's Tomb
Minas Tirith Fifth Circle
Osgiliath Crossing
Morgulduin
Dagorlad

I think that would work best with my proposed deck improvements.

cool, thanks for the ideas. Gollum DAD was missing because I don't own one.  the brute was a real good idea.  The shadow probably appeared disorganized because I have a very limited morgul collection.

Down from the hills is a great addition.  I didn't use it because I don't own one.  As Ket mentioned however, this won't be a problem on gccg.

I personally never used Down from the hills. The cost of exerting Gandalf three times is too high, except at site 6.

Here's my rationale on that. If you have a Might of Numenor in hand, it would be similar to exerting twice (assuming you pull a card with at least [1]).

Furthermore, you have Gandalf with Narya and any of the selection of Gandalf's Staff for 6 vitality. Between Might of Numenor and Moment of Respite, you can heal a pair of those wounds.

Anyways, not only do you give all that bonus to a companion of your choice, but it near-guarantees that Gandalf will have his +3 strength bonus.

Edit: On my previous shadow post, I accidentally posted Morgul Skirmisher, not Morgul Skulker. I hope Morgul Skulker was understood and it is fixed now.

i was curious as to why you posted the skirmisher. I was slightly confused, but the skulker makes much more sense.
