I was making a deck that used only the witch-king for minions. Was wondering what ideas anyone had for it, all input is appreciated thanks

That means you have only four minions in your deck?!

Since you are posting in Expanded, you can't expect to see anything happen with your Shadow because of IB. And... 4 out of 30. :-S

I'm not sure if you understand this rule correctly: You cannot have more than 4 copies of any cards in your deck. Even if there are subtitles, uniques minions and characters can only appear 4 times in the deck.

As Kralik said, there will only be 4 minions in your deck. I'm not sure this is going to work well. You cannot even use Evil-Smelling Fens due to Gollum being a minion.

Witch-King only? Impossible. With Gollum Splash and Paralyzer Shelob? Might maybe work, but you'll play 4 copies of Black Lord and also Gollum, DaD, CbtR, Sweeter Meats, maybe Incited and so on...

EDIT: And looooots of cycling indeed

We Shall Meet Again SoonPreparations + Rest By Blind Night (don't know standard well enough to know if there is a replacement card for RBBN).  These are two ways to get more than four uses out of your witch king.  That is assuming you are able to get him in hand early.  If he doesn't show up for a while....well....

You probably need a fellowship that can double frequently and hope the witch king can be scarry enough to stop him from doing so.

You can make a deck with the Witchking as your main minion, for example Lord of the Nazgul, make him fierce, make him strong, make him high on vitality etc. Play a lot of wound prevention.....stuff like that. But still, it is tricky.

Might as well run Black Lord and go down in style. Each time your opponent plays a companion, shove the card in front of his nose and go "Behold, the Witch-king!" or "Behold, a FOIL Witch-king!" (If your opponent is playing solo Smeagol or something, just leave in a huff.)

I forgot about these cards. Also, maybe that The Witch-King, Morgul King would be the best WK for this deck as it allows you to grab another copy of your WK from discard pile when you play one.

4x A Shadow Rises could technically be used.

I have only played it with my friends but so far it has not lost. using 2 black lords and two witch-king CoA. ring of terrors to return him to hand, and final account to pull him back .4 drawn to its power with pale blade make sure they feel it when I kill their weak off with sense of obligation and shadowy mount

Use all the nazzie rings you can get your hands on.  They all have the ability to return your minion to your hand.

Even if you play Wikkie every turn, I still see it as problematic since one minion at a time is very easy to kill or dispose of. What if your opponent plays massive archery? Direct Freeps wounding and Eowyn LoI? Ithilien Blade? I'm skeptical that it would work vs. even the simplest Freeps strategies.
