Dwarves with Eowyn, LoI
« on: March 20, 2010, 03:08:59 AM »
Well then, Heije, this is for you!

Gimli, BoG
The One Ring, Ring of Weed

freeps (31 cards):

1x Eowyn, Killing everybody off! (starting)
1x Linnar, Dwarven Lord (starting)
1x Sam, Eater of Burdens
3x Durin III, Master Tanker

4x Preparations
4x Baruk Khazad
4x Slaked Thirsts
2x Ever my Heart Rises
3x Rest by Blind Night
2x Dwarven Heart

1x Axe of erebor
1x Gimli's Battle axe, TW
2x Ring of Fury
1x Ring of Accretion
1x Ring of Guile

I just wanted to show you that a Dwarven Deck with Eowyn, LoI is possible, maybe it's not perfect, but should actually work pretty well: Exerting, wounding, stacking on Preaprations, shuffling back with Rest by blind night and finishing them off with Eowyn, LoI.

Haha, well, it could be neat as well, though you lack a certain amount of healing. Perhaps Aragorn Telcontar with his bow?

Nothing here to keep Eowyn healed and in tip-top shape. No condition or possession removal, not very good balance overall. Why not start Gimli, Linnar, and Durin III and have three copies of Eowyn?

Probably too many copies of Preparations and Ever My Heart Rises, especially if you are cycling them back in with Rest By Blind Night.

A common problem with your decks seems to be an overall lack of companions. What happens if one gets killed? Especially since you have no way to clear threats for your Gimli, I think corruption will be a problem.

I don't like Such a Weight to Carry with Gimli, Bearer of Grudges. Seems to me like The One Ring, the Binding Ring might be more efficient.

Also, none of your "original" links work in preview mode since you just linked the url, not the card.

Ex: Sam, Eater of Burdens shows up in preview mode and link mode.

2 stars for the deck (which, by the way is quite similar to my [Dwarven] deck, I noticed*) ... 1/2 a star for the post itself for not using card links.

And how can I fix the cards that the card is also shown?

Anyway, in my current meta, there are nearly no conditions, and getting balance is pretty hard when not being able to palytest the Deck. Could you make a suggestive Decklist?

Anyway, this Deck was more to enerve Heije ;)

[ c a r d = 01311] Sam, Eater of Burdens [ / c a r d ]

would be Sam, Eater of Burdens.

One or two Blood Runs Chill would still help.

That worked. I don't know how many people besides myself use card preview, but it is fantastic when reviewing decks.

I also use it, but sometimes, my comp is too slow to show them, and sometimes, the pictures just remain upon the text and I can't see the list anymore...
Anyway, I use the image preview "large".

Large is far to big for me. But to each his or her own.

Yep, and for those who love funny card links like Boromir, seeked by everyone!

EDIT: Anyway, fixed the links in the decklist above now.

Boromir, Apple of Everyone's Eye (Except For Mine Because It Is a Piece of Cardboard and Not Even That Good As It Has Very Limited Application In Most Decks--The Only Real Use I Can See For It In Movie Block Is To Weasel Catapult Into a Ring-Bound Rangers Deck)

Is that what you meant?

Edit: As long as you are running Gimli, Bearer of Grudges, start Durin III and run three copies of Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien. Anyways...my opinion of this deck really can't go higher than two stars. Eoywn, Lady of Ithilien was basically built for multi-cultural wounding and that's where she belongs. Let's see Aragorn's Bow, Legolas, Greenleaf, Shadowplay and Unheeded, Quick As May Be, and Double Shot.
