Lots of u guys have played against me, with different results agains this deck. I made it back in 2005 or so, maybe even earlier, when the Gondor Wriaths first came out. Then, looking for something to self-exert my companions getting adicional beneffits for it, i made a complilation of cards and finally build this deck:

Sites:
Site 1: Steps of Edoras
Site 2: West Road
Site 3: The Dimholt
Site 4: Pelennor Plain
Site 5: Steward's Tomb
Site 6: Minas Tirith Sixth Circle
Site 7: Osgiliath Channel
Site 8: Morgul Vale
Site 9: Dagorlad

Starting
Ringbearer: Frodo, Resolute Hobbit
Ring: The One Ring, Such a Weight to Carry
Gandalf, Leader of Men
Forest Guardian

Freeps (40):

Sleepless Dead x4
King of the Dead, Oathbreaker x3
Cursed of Erech x2

Ent Draught x4
Stronger and more terrible x3
Swept Away x4
Gondor Bowmen x3

Banner of the White Tree x3
Sleep Caradhras x3

Gandalf's Staff x2
The Shards of Narsil x3
Narya x2

Banner of Westernesse x2

Shadow (40):

Grishnakh, Orc Captain x3
Orc Cutthroat x4
Desert Lord x2
Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul x2
Orc Archer Troop x2
Orc Hunters x2
Orc Patrol x3
Orc Scouting Band x3
Orc Soldier x3

Grond, Hammer of the Underworld x2

Hate x4

Under the Watching Eye x4
Orc Bowmen x4
Dead Marshes x2

Freeps: gandy-ent starting gives a cool confusing first message, i think the first time i play against some people for 2 or 3 sites they don't expect what's coming. Shards of Narsil takes care of the extra companions-events-conditions drawed, Forest Guardian discard 2 useless cards from hand to cycle when assigned and let the Ent Draguth 's to come in play, wich, allow self-exertion to enduring companions. The rest is obvious, Gondor Bowman to exert/free wounds/avoid skirmishes, Banner fo the white tree = stght +5 def +1, etc. Gandy with staff prevent unvereable skirmishes, sleep caradhras gets rid of nasty conditions while shards prevent's me from geting unprotected after it and narya removes te excess of burdens, also, frodo can take a lot of them (resistance 12) and with Such a Weight to Carry, can also take all the threat-wounds/archery, etc, when are inminent.

Shadow: Classic and effective.

thing is, deck is to big... but i really think i need almost all of this cards

hope to get some help

bye!

Let's try to cut some cards...

Isn't playing Sleep, Caradhras causing you any problems with all the Ent Draught you have? I wouldn't use any Gondor Bowmen and I don't really understand the point of having so many Shards of Narsil. If you want a condition removal, consider Brooding on Tomorrow, it's pretty nice with Forest Guardian. You could also remove 1 copy of the King of the Dead. Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples is probably the best Frodo you can pick for this kind of deck. It would allow you to remove 1 Stronger and More Terrible.

If you want to cut some shadow cards, remove all the Orc Hunters and Orc Soldier.

I find playing Ent Draught very risky with your Gondor Wraiths. I know an extra exertion is an extra 2 strength, but if discarded it means a dead wraith, litterally.....

Banner of Westernesse takes care of extra wounds, i always avoid getting them exhausted, think i've only had trubles with ent-draguth discard 1 time. In the case of Brooding on Tomorrow, i wouldn't use it cause i can't bare loosing initiative, and with this deck, as for the card cost, isn't easy either. I used to play with Frodo, Hope of Free Peoples, but somehow i always got corrupted in 9 with 11 burdens, so, pissed by that, i started avoiding it lol. I think Isildur, Bearer of Heirlooms is a good choice, i'll give him a try.

I've taken some of u'r advices, ill put the modified deck here after i try it. Now, 35 shadow 35 freeps with Isildur.

Oh yeah, I forgot that you need initiative to make Swept Away work. So this means Forest Guardian will probably never fight? This deck has a lot of contradiction with Sleep, Caradhras discarding your cards. Deep in Thoughts would probably be better, when you have 9 companions in play, spotting 4 twilight tokens is easy.

Banner of the White Tree rocks. As for the rest of your deck, Sleep, Caradhras, Gondor Bowmen, Narya, and some of the companions aren't terribly important. I would replace some of these with healing and cycling. 4x Swordarm of the White Tower could be useful, too. Also think about adding Shadow Host. Like the idea though. Hadn't thought of using ents.

Hehe, I'll always remember how my gollum scratched your gandys eyes out on site two :).
Anyway, it looks like an interesting tank deck, but id drop all that ent stuff and focus on wraiths with gandy as support. Definitely keep narya, as long as its your only burden removal, plus I'd add that maneuver-wounding-anti-nazzie event which name i cant recall now as a defense against enquea. Shadow seems to be ok, I might try it sometime (although my problem is usually lack of freeps ideas, not shadow :))

Question: If [Gondor] wraiths are incorporeal, how can they drink Ent Draught, much less be affected by it?

How does smoking weed heal you?  Now smoking weed to remove burdens, that might make sense...

And then there's Saved From the Fire (one of the most inaccurately-titled cards in the game)...

Anyway, back to the deck, I agree about Swordarm of the White Tower, and maybe trim it a little so you can be sure to get Swept Away & SaMT.
