Frenzy of Arrows--has this ever been fixed? My friend played 4 of these on me and killed my entire healthy fellowship in one fell swoop because there were threats around. This + Gothmog, Morgul Leader = broken. :roll:

There is no more Frenzy or Arrows.....click on it and you will see the errata

I don't know which is worse, that they made a card like this, or that they errata'd it to something impossible.

i was being sarcastic.  I dislike all bans and erratas.  There are over 3,000 lotr cards, i think erratas and bans are rediculas.  There are enough ideas in the game to counter every card.  If you don't like frenzy of arrows, don't run followers.  If you like followers and are worried about frenzy of arrows, run wise guide.  I hope no one thinks I'm upset, I just think erratas and bans are overdone and unneeded.

Frenzy of Arrows was way over the top. Even if there aren't any followers, you'd get 2 archery for [2]. Absolutely ridiculous.

Do you really want all decks that don't use maneuver wounding to be unworkable? Or decks that use followers without Wise Guide? In order to save one card, you're ruining numerous decktypes. Like you said, there are over 3,000 cards. Why sacrifice most of the game's variety for a single card?

I agree that the errata they did was stupid, but surely a sensible erratum (e.g. "Spot an [Orc] minion to make the minion archery total +1 (or +2 if you can spot a follower).") would be better than ruining most decktypes. Besides, what would you do with even worse cards, like Mordor Fiend (who, IMO, should have just been errata'd to make his phase action a one-time "When you play this minion" action)?

Hmm, that thinking is a bit flawed.  Should people be able to play Faramir, Captain of Ithilien?  I mean if all cards are fine and there should never be any erratats.

Or perhaps some cards either intentionally or unintentionally create too much of an imbalance in the game as a whole and should be banned.  I remember someone here saying something like when you ban one card you can cause many other cards to be played.  The game opens and more cards get used.

While I agree with that these should have had errata, I think yours are kind of weak.  Frenzy of Arrows was made to hurt mass followers.   I think a balanced erratum would be if all instances of 2 were changed to 1.

I also think that Mordor Fiend's ability should be usable after he is in play (since so many Sauron cards spot an S orc)  Modifying to "... tokens, exert Mordor fiend to add (3)..." would fix the infinate loop problem and allow the card to work more as intended.

yeah, the problem with followers is that there is no real drawback, i mean, is anyone afraid of all life flees? that's why frenzy was made, if it cost like 5 ala elevated fire then it would be fine.
