Well, as I'm an old Yu-Gi-Oh player, I can tell you a little story about Cyber Dragon.

When Cyber Dragon was released it became nearly Staple. During the Worlds (I think it was 2008), the Top 8 players played an amount of 20 Cyber Dragons, and while considering that the maximum number of identical cards you have in Yu-Gi-Oh is three, nearly every Deck played the maximum of it. This is when this card was 20-25 Euros worth, nearly 40 US$ sometimes for 1st ed.

Then he got restricted. And there was also a Promo released, and the price fell down to 10US$ or even less. Then, a new type of cards was released, the Synchros, and while CD (Cyber Dragon) was a very essential card in Monarch Decks, the whole Monarch strategy crashed and so did CD. Now he's worth just a couple of Dollars, for the "very shiny" one, if it's card number is CVR-EN015, it's worth about 10 US$, some collectors might consider to pay more. Just as a clarification what the card number says:

CRV = Cybernetic Revolution
EN = English
015 = 15th card of the set.

I might be interested a bit, maybe if you could trade them for LotR cards, but I won't consider buying them. They are really useless in the current Meta.

Definitely all overpriced, nobody plays Cyber Dragons at all, and most collectors have theirs already, so I don't think they'll be ever sold at such a high price.

oh, and I forgot to add that there was another Version of Cyber Dragon released, and it was just a Rare. For clarification, here's the rarity list of Yu-Gi-Oh:

Common (8 in each normal pack)
Rare (usually 1 in each normal Pack)
Super Rare (replaces a Common in each 6th pack)
Ultra Rare (replaces a Common in each 12th pack)
Ultimate Rare (replaces a Common in each display once)
Secret Rare (replaces a Common in each 1-3 displays once)
Ghost Rare (only aviable in each 10th display)

As for the Ghost Rare, you theoretically have to buy  10 displays to get one, but a friend of mine got 2 Ghost Rares in a Draft tournament where you receive just 5 packs. And just to say, he also had a  secret Rare, so he was lucky to get cards you usually get only if you buy 21 displays ...

do you have any decent fotr or ttt cards you would be willing to part with? i no longer play, but i have a young friend who is getting into the game, and i'm trying to help him out as much as i can. he has primarily fotr and ttt cards.

Take a look at my list. I also build some Demo-Decks (FotR Block) for my friends to get them into game, I got lots of C/Us from FOtR. PM me.
