Time for a new kind of league on GccG?

Hi People,

Just a question/suggstion. Back in the old days, just before rotk came out, there was a very nice league. Maybe you remember: The race to mount doom. Would that be nice for a new league on gccg?

I like the way the current leagues are going on gccg. Looking forward to Towers Standard and Movie Block.

i am not fussed - i just like playing on GCCG for a reason other than the odd game here or there. Be it Towers league, FOTR league or Mount Doom leauge doesn't bother me too much.

I am wary of playing movie block because everyone plays it and I am really behind and not sure where to start. Probably should just put a deck together i guess.

Anyway ...

Would really like to play some FOTR league games but can't seem to locate an opponent.

But Race to mount doom is actually ttt standard, but with different abilities people can choose.
There are 9 steps to mount doom. On every step we choose an ability that will be valid for that whole step for all players: For instance you're not allowed to play Men. So thae whole step you're not allowed to play men. If you earned enough points to get to step 2 then you get a different abbility what will be valid for that step; say for instance that minions are not roaming or that the first minion played is-2. It's really big fun and it shifts games constantly. And there's a clear end to the race. The first person who reaches (also depending on how many matches you've played) a certain amount of points will win the race.

fine. But you'll be missing the fun. I really thought it was the most cool period in the high days of lotr.
