Gondor recycling?
« on: June 21, 2010, 11:13:18 PM »
Is there any way to bring [Gondor] cards back from the discard pile? Either into hand or straight to play..

Let's say your [Gondor] condition gets ditched and you want it back.. Is it possible? (Besides having more copies :D)

You need Gandal's aid with On your Doorstep I guess..... Now is Gandalf the best sidekick for Gondor, so that shouldn't be a problem.

It's for my standard Gondor Wraith deck, which already runs Gandalf with G for Grand. One copy of On your Doorstep will be excellent. Thanks. :gp:

On Your Doorstep is an awesome card. As for WK's question, what about Elven Brooch?

Ithilien Blade? I thought it was clear that I meant Standard...

Np, I did't thought of that card, but as I use a Gondor Only Standard Deck, this card doesn't really help...

My first thought was Soldier's Cache, which I'll include in my Deck anyway, with Ithilien Blade, but past Site 5, it doesn't really help anyway...

No, you guys all understand it wrong. I thought that if I say a card used in a Ithilien Blade Deck, it really should be clear I mean Standard (or maybe Expanded/ Open), but as we were talking about Standard before, I don't see anything unclear in here.

No, we all didn't misunderstand a thing - YOU weren't clear in your initial post.

Just because Ithilien Blade is legal in Standard doesn't mean that something you refer to as "an Ithilien Blade deck" MUST be Standard legal as well, especially as Standard is not the favorite format of the locals here on TLHH.

You could very easily make any number of differently formatted decks focused around Ithilien Blade and call it "an Ithilien Blade deck".

Don't count on someone else's question to make it clear what YOU mean next time. None of us here are mind readers.

You would have to ditch Cantea with your first manuever action, Ithilien Blade would be the best thing to do this. Mumak Rider always causes problems for decks that rely on possessions though..

If it's only Gondor, that means all men and that means Dark Horseman will also be bad.

EDIT: I suppose you could have a wraith to avoid Dark Horseman and still be Gondor only..
