Avatar: Made for a CC contest, actually. The "Cool Avvie" contest, or whatever. I liked it, I kept it.

Username: I learned a bit of Latin in times past. It translates roughly to "seize the guitar". ;D

And...I don't recall what my siggy is.

Avatar: Finn and Hengest. AKA, two Saxon/Viking (I can't remember which... I should know that, though....) warriors. From John Howe's painting for the cover of one of Tolkien's more scholarly books.

Username: From the old British TV show "Danger Man," called "Secret Agent" in the US. The main character is named John Drake.

Sig: Pretty self-explanatory; my debate partner and I won the big regional NCFCA debate tournament for 2007-2008. Pretty cool.

avatar: self explanatory...a palantir the abbreviation for my username (though the o should be lower case

Username: I had a palantir collection when I first joined CC so wanted to be called six palantirs. I mistyped and made sickofpalantirs (or maybe sicofpalantirs) and BtO said it sounded better...so I went with that.

Signature...a demotivator...and uh let me check what else is in my sig

Avatar: both Kermit and Yoda are incredible cool
Username: name of the father of Elrond and Elros, also known as Earendil. Gil-Estel means Star of Hope (Estel also being a name of Aragorn, as he is/was the hope of all the free peoples) So I kinda liked it, love the story also.....
Signature: one of the most beautiful quotes imho from Tolkien. Council is hard to give, and sometimes harder received...so it is something to think very well about....

Avatar: At the time I chose my username (over on Decipher's forums), the card version of Dain Ironfoot had not come out yet. Decipher had a gallery of avatars from many of their LOTR TCG cards, and I chose the Gimli I thought looked the least like Gimli and instead like (potentially) a different Dwarf. Kind of silly, yes, but I've stuck with it ever since. I'm not real big into change. :P

Username: Again, kind of a silly reason. I didn't want to be "gimli479" or something on Decipher's boards, so I instead chose a Dwarf whose name was surprisingly not taken: Dáin Ironfoot. And once again, I've stuck with it ever since.

Signature: I've used "best regards" in my signature since...jeez, 1998? First forum community I ever joined, I used simply "best regards!" as my signature, and I've worked into all my signatures at every community I've been in since then. Yeah, I'm a very boring person. :roll:

Oh yea and i usually go by the name Vit. Or with vit in my username or something (for inst. my runescape name is vitjet34). I got vit from when we were playing a family game of Nertz (a playing-card game), it uses two letters of my name. Plus it is part of Leviticus in the bible which kinda sounds like my name.

Oh yea, plus i usually fight with brain power... 2 pple stare into eyes until one's brain blows up...  it's actually pretty cool.

If you're feeling high, you might want to visit the goofy channel in the council of the cobra.

I actually had EL's avatar on that neo-conservative-christian (heretical christian more like it)-modnazi site I was on until I got banned...but some people complained and I had to remove it...
