Player looking for players
« on: October 18, 2010, 10:42:36 AM »
Hello Guys,

I'm new to this forum so be nice to me please…
I used to play a long time ago in France (block 1-10) [yes I'm French], now I would like to play again, online or at my place (New York, New York).
If I understand correctly, you are going to play, but how: online or somewhere? Could you give me more info, thanks.
I have several questions, I do not know where to ask, so I'm going to ask them here:
1-   I'm looking for player in New York.
2-   I would like to complete my collection (buy), I'm looking for set # 15-17-18
3-   Like I said I used to play in France, so that mean I do not have my entire collection with me here in US, but I have set #10 to 13 with me, to trade for or to play with

Thanks for your help, and I'm looking forward to play with you or to trade.

A hold French player in New York

There is indeed an online program called GCCG through which is possible to play LotR TCG. More on this program you can find in Green Dragon. Answers to all your questions about it can be found there. Give it a try.

Thanks a lot, I was just checking it.

If you are looking for singles, check out ccg-singles.com run by member rubbercarp or category1games.com run by member category1games. If you are looking for boxes or sets, the best place to check is eBay.

There is no player map on this website; I think there are a few people in upstate New York off the top of my head. I don't know anyone in the city though.

Just a reminder that I also offer free shipping at www.ccg-singles.com for TLHH members. Just enter coupon code "TLHHFreeShipping" at the final stage of checkout.

As for Towers Standard, it has a very special place in my heart as I first got into the game with the release of Two Towers. Though I never really got into the online play experience.

Have fun with the league!
All of my extra Lord of the Rings TCG, MECCG, SWCCG, and WoW TCG singles are available for sale on my website: http://www.ccg-singles.com

Of course it's better to play live, but playing online has its pros. There are much more players than many of us can find in their immediate vicinity, you can almost always find someone to play with and you can use all the existing cards in your deck building. Not the least of its pros... IT'S FREE!

But the most important to me is that I can actually play the game when I have the time. I have real cards and just 1 friend who also owns and plays LotR TCG, but it's still difficult for both of us to find time enough to play even though we are 10 minutes of walking from each other.

That is true!!! But live playing is so much better, even if you do not have all the existing card.

Fact is, you are trying to strum up local interest in a game that isn't made anymore. You will never have great luck doing that unless you own all of the cards and give them away like crazy...no one likes buying into a dead card game.

GCCG offers  an international playing community that is active nearly 24 hours a day. Hard to argue with that as a place to get your playing fix and you can collect and build a few real life decks for those rare opportunities when you can play in real life.
