I think I have finally found most of the old smilies we used to have at CC: the old embarrased face, the old grins, the old sunglasses guy, the old crying fellow, etc. Still no clapping smiley, though. :-\

My question is this: do you want me to replace the bulk of the current smilies with the new (old) ones? Some of the current ones would certainly remain, like :mrgreen: and :hey: and :ninja: and :popcorn: and such. But this would give us a more uniform style...a style I still miss from CC, personally.

If the majority of folks are up for it, I'll work on getting them changed. But if you've gotten attached to these, let me know that too.

I'd replace all of these for certain with their CC-style counterparts:

And probably keep these unless I can find a viable alternative:

I LOVE the old CC smilies. best ones ever!

not that i'll be around to use them.

my only suggestion is to find an aquatic chicken smilie...

Yes, I agree with what you have suggested, Dain.  Although I do like some of the new ones (the ones that Dain has said we would keep), I really misss the old ones. 

With the new ones, the embarrassed face looks like it's crying  :-[ rather than blushing, and the one that sticks out its tongue looks like it's being sick rather than being cheeky  :P .  So yes, yes, bring them back!   ;D

Five yesses and no objections. That's the kind of response I was hoping for. :)

Okay, I'm going to make sure I save all the current smilies, just in case, and then I'll start bringing the old ones back over. And I have a couple happy surprises in store, too....

EDIT: Step 1 complete: all the current smiley slots have now been replaced with the CC-style smilies. Now I'll be adding a few new ones and then getting them all in order.... :up:

EDIT: Step 2 complete! Got all the icons I plan on pulling in today, so now it's just a matter of arranging them...
