Legality Check
« on: November 20, 2010, 05:09:20 PM »
I've found two cards that check as legal in formats they are not supposed to check as legal.

 - Aragorn, Heir to the White City will check as legal in movie format
 - O Elbereth! Gilthoniel! will check as legal in TS format

I've seen both cards used in those formats and was once asked to go to #$&*@! for pointing that Heir to the White City is not legal in movie. I didn't oblige.

Also, Bill the Pony checks as illegal in TS.

Thx to Kainbr for finding that out.

It still is, you just can't use it to cancel the skirmish if playing by the new rules.

wlk never updated the TS list after it was confirmed here. The extra tables that are (were?) being hosted do have it correct though. Hence the discrepancy with Bill the Pony, OE!G! (which IS actually illegal), etc.

As to HttWC, now that's a problem. :P

Relics of Moria also turns up as illegal in TS.  Pretty sure the board said that was legal.

I also saw someone who was using Aragorn, HttWC in a TS game.  Never seemed to get enough twilight so I ended up losing because of him.  My opponent didn't believe me when I said he was illegal either.

To get these fixed, someone needs to contact wlk. The original TS list was based off of the Movie list, and Movie is lacking the HttWC entry. To fix:

1) Add HttWC to Movie.
2) Redo TS list per linked thread.

Again, please see this thread, which clears it all up.

Several cards that are X-ed in Movie are erroneously X-ed in TS.

I understand that, but can anybody fix it, because not all players on gccg are also on tlhh or they are new and it gives a lot of confusion?

So, how does one contact wlk? Is there any email? PM is not required, I think, because as soon as checks the forum, he will notice this thread. I believe The Green Dragon is the section he is most interested in.
