Yeah, you can use denethor more than once at the sanctuary.  Use him to get Aragorn and you'll have him by site three.

other than that, You might be right about Isildur's heir, but I kind of still want that starting fellowship. Even though that's one more twilight each turn, I could always free up some room and use Let Folly Be Our Cloak to - the twilight.

Take that back... I'll consider using Isildur's heir.

This is just a thought, but you may not want to do this if you want to start with 4 companions.  If you start with Isildur as the RB you can use Denethor at site 3 to grab Aragorn and Boromir, Doomed Heir.  It will generate a lot of twilight and let your companions draw cards though.

It may be safer to just go get Isildur's Heir, and Noble Leaders if you don't pull it by that time.  Of course if things get hairy, you can always let Denethor die.

I've got it!
Not very brilliant but it fits.
I start Boromir RB, Denethor, LoMT, Faramir, and Pippin, MT.
Once I get aragorn, Isildur's heir into hand using Den, he's only 2 twilight, and afterwards I can just kill Pippen.
Plus if it comes to a tricky site and there are 5 minions or so, Faramir's defender +1

I'll try this deck tonight @ halftime and see if it works.

You wont be able to start those 4

Boromir RB then Faramir, as Denethor needs to spot 2 [Gondor] Men

you can use it 4 times, through the rule of 4.

houses of healing is very useful for this.
noble leaders should definitly be your highest priority.  that'll kill minions for throne of minas tirith.

also, why not add a tradesman of lebennin?
I actually run a token deck around boromir doomed heir (7 tokens with one guarded city! w00t!) but this is a kewl idea.

Dude, I tried this deck last night... Awesome!
I got about 20 or so tokens on Heirs and gorn had all of his possessions (cept his knife) but I was killin minions left and right.

as for TheJord,
Y can't I start them? Denethor says that you have to spot 2 gondor men, that doesn't mean that he has to be played after two gondor men.
And if you think about it... you can start faramir w/ boromir already and as soon as you play denethor after him that makes faramir 1 less twilight cost so he's still only 1.

You play your starting companions one at a time.

1)Boromir
2)Faramir - you cant play Denethor 2nd as he cant spot 2 [Gondor] Men
3)Denethor

And thats your 4.

Believe me I use to run a Noble Leaders/Gandalf deck with this starting FP.

Hard Choice helps it you get Aragorn first, then you can heal Denethor to do his trick the 4 times...
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that i'm right...

no you can only do it once per site, because his text says fellowship and because there is no fellowship phase after reqroup.

But yea, I think I will still go w/ Lord of minas Tirith, just cause then i dont have to add 5 twilight for only 4 companions.

You can use Denethor during the fellowship phase while at a sanctuary. The bold word fellowship indicates that it is a special ability, which you can do as often as you meet the requirements. Hence you can do it 4 times, when you are able to heal Denethor, since you can take only 4 cards in hand during your fellowship.

woah, I guess I didn't really catch that.
sorry daisukeman. That's probably because when I played w/ this deck before, he was already exhausted before I got to the sanctuary.

That doesnt matter. You heal him and then use his text, unless you are on no Stewards tomb.

Alright, I tried this and It Kind of works.
I ran this same deck only I took out all of faramir's and Denethor's possessions, along with Elendil.
My starting fellowship was
Boromir, Bearer of Counsil w/ the shadows ring
Aragorn, Well Traveled guide.

Along with what I already had, I added x1 aragorns bow, x1 Ranger's cloak, x1 Athelas, and x1 Houses of Healing.
Let me know what you think, and If you would rather, I will post this deck as a new topic instead.
