I would like to start a new campaign here in the house of bombdil. Hrcho and Abbott already expressed a desire to be involved. Here are the rules:
A play by post rpg is a big collaborative story.
make it tolkeinish. (this is the most important rule. We will be participating in a LOTR RPG, not D&D. There is a time and place for everything

)
post at least once a week.
no super heroes (literally. there is only 1 super man. unless you count capt. marvel then there is 1 and 1/2.)
use parenthesis () to indicate ingame and out of game (I'm thinking, or saying this out of game, blah blah blah.)
italics for characters thoughts."quotes for spoken words" obviously

more can be added since this is new to me and odd situations may arise.
Campaign Idea:
*clears throat*
The third age of middle earth will always be remembered as the age in which
Mithrandir completed his quest. He has been forever remembered as the only of the 5 Istar of Arda to accomplish his task. Sarumon had been corrupted,
Radagast had become disinterested, and
Pallando &
Alatar had vanished. Or so it was recorded in Gondor.
Radagast the Brown had been accused by Gandalf as disinterested. How could an Istar of Arda be concerned about the well-being of a single hobbit when the fate of middle earth was being decided in Far-Harad? Word of
Alatar's plight reached
Radagast on the wings of a sparrow. The Istar in the South tried in vain to stop Palando, but it was too late.
No matter what Gandalf was planning in the Rivendell, it would all be for naught if
Pallando succeded in unifying the tribes of Far-Harad. To make matters worse, the far travelling
Pallando had unearthed an artifact from ages past to unify the scattered tribes. With the combined forces of Sauron, The Easterlings, Saruman, The Haradrim and the Far-Haradrim lead by
Pallando and his ancient force, no power on Middle-Earth could hold back the return of the
Dark Lord.
Radagast had to find heroes. Free folk worthy of the task of breaking
Pallando's influence. The Free-Haradrim were Middle-Earth's only
line of defense against a foe they had not met.
Radagast needed: The Unsung Heroes.
That is my pitch. A quest in the 3rd age thru Harad into the arid Far-Harad to match wits with
Radagast,
Alatar,
Pallando, and an evil from the ancient world.
