The hunters, Ros, and T&D booster boxes.
« on: August 23, 2008, 02:32:55 AM »
Why is it so hard to find these boxes. I saw some sites selling them for like 175$ a piece. Best ive seen was T&D for 102 but most places just dont sell the other boxes. Where are you guys getting your cards?

Also do you think decipher will bring out The great eye, Shelob's Lair? Maybe when the new hobbit movie comes out? I mean lotr was around in 95 then it got going again around 2002. Maybe a come back in the future?

I only saw ONE box of RoS Boosters at GenCon, they wanted $150 for it.

Not bad actually, considering it's pretty much the Coruscant of LotR and if this game ever gets back on its feet like SWCCG, then that will easily shoot up to $300+, with Hunters probably going for $250+ and T&D going for $225+.

And as for "will Decipher print Shelob's Lair and The Great Eye?"...

...sigh.

No, Decipher does not have either the license for the property nor the manpower to make that happen. They've barely got the resources to launch FightKlub, and, not to be negative, if that flops, so probably will Decipher.

Bleh. I searched for RoS boxes online and I came up with two results - and both of them, under further inspection, were sold out.

I really want to get my hands on an RoS box, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

Starter boxes are useless unless you're wanting to run a sealed deck tournament. Why would you need 48 copies of *any* card?

Yeah, but no foils.  I paid 105 and 118 for rise of saruman and the Hunters respectively about 5 months ago.  The only boxes I've seen since of those two sets have been on Ebay (and only 2-3 boxes total).  They each went for 150+.  So its pretty much tough luck on those sets.  Just gotta scrounge what singles you can get ahold of.  As for foils and masterworks... they are extremely hard to collect now.  :'(

I've never seen a booster box for either RoS or Hunters online, anywhere. I was lucky enough to find a booster box of Hunters in a local shop that the owner had no clue of and sold to me for $30 (from which I pulled both a regular and foil ROD). Since then I've found nothing and chances of collectiong either RoS foils or regulars for that matter are hopeless.
