jingle machine
« on: February 09, 2011, 01:58:03 AM »
I have a question:

As a teacher I always like to bring that what is necessary with a touch of humor. Sometimes I have a subject that is exciting, funny or whatever. My dream is a programm in which I have 'installed' themesongs and such, noices so that when I press F1, F2 or something like that, the noice is made, or the song is played. Mission Impossible at the start of a test, or even better, Eye of the Tiger. Jaws sounds an so on and so forth. The idea is clear I assume. Is there anyone who could and is willing to help me?!

thanks in advance,

Gil

Gil, I don't know squat about programming, but watch some ventrilo harrassment videos on youtube, I'm sure you might be able to find which program they use to pre-store the sounds.

Brings back memories of writing timed essays in English class, with music playing in the background. I was always partial to the Forrest Gump Suite myself.

But playing Jaws when walking around collecting homework assignments... you sure you're not amusing yourself more than your students??

This is a good idea. One time, there was noise at the class' door and when my teacher opened there was nobody and he put the Ghostbusters theme on. Epic LOLs.

But no programmers here that have a simple option?

I believe you can do simple recordings through Windows 7's Media Player, provided you have a microphone, or get some songs and do some cutting with Real Player or whatever, and make a Media Player Playlist, so you can cue them in by double-clicking, although keying them will be a whole different matter.
