the minion side looks fun, but expensive.  The free people's side has no possession or condition removal.  I run something similar, but I can immediately think of a lot of builds that would ruin your day.

Your minion side is one of my favorites.  Tower of Orthanc may help give you a little extra twilight as the wounds are flying.

I just wonder what crappy opponents you all play against
JMcCarthy, Luthien, Smeagollum, Alonso, Kaan, Xabirau, sweet, king89, wtk and many others. Please feel free not to post if you have nothing useful to say (like usual).

The free people's side has no possession or condition removal.

Without getting into the record discussion, I've seen the shadow before, both in Towers Block, Towers Standard, and Movie Block. (In Towers Block, it's pretty bad, actually, because there's no fear of Enquea.) It loses to decks that run 9 big companions, like Knights and some Elves. I remember the model working better with Tower of Orthanc, so I'll suggest that. And while it's nice to bluff Enquea, it wouldn't hurt to have one either.

The FP will do well against fighting minion decks, and I suspect is even decent against Corsairs. But how do you beat your own shadow? And without condition removal, how do you handle swarm? I don't play on GCCG, but from what I've heard swarm is uncommon.

Vilya.

Have won against Moria, enduring nazzies, desert lord archery & Dunland to think of a few.

As I said before, your Shadow seems to die against any kind of maneuver wounding Freeps and, as didn't even realize when looking through this Deck first, the Shadow has no crowd control, thus it should actually loose against any type of Deck that runs 9 comps, like Ents with Radagast.
OOYMDT is no way as efficient as Greed, especially against your Main enemy, Ents.

An issue your Freeps might have is the enormous amount of Twilight it provides when playing Gil-Galad, EHK and some possessions. I also suspect you might have problems when playing against Decks that have both possession and Condition removal, as Corsairs, and maybe Besiegers, I'm not sure.

Thanks for the advice. As I recall, the few times you played on gccg I remember you winging about loosing all time... So maybe that's why when you right things like 'what crappy opponents you play against' doesn't really hold any weight because most of the opponents I play have decks a lot better than yours... So, yeah.

It was meant more ironically. Sry if it wasn't obvious.

I like the free peoples and will try it at some point, but I have a few questions:

Is Glimpse of Fate x2 all that effective?  You only have a few cards that even trigger it.

Also, do you ever find yourself wishing you had a few more replacement comps if someone dies?  There are very few decks in Movie Block that don't benefit from running 9 companions.

I'm by no means saying this deck is perfect, it just has a good win/loss ratio against some of the stronger decks out there... and as far as I remember Sam is the only comp to die thus far. I like having Glimpse of fate just in case Galadriel has to fight under some rare circumstance, coupled with Elven Sword and Nenya, Ring of Adamant you can loose initiaitive quite easily.

Interesting that you don't use cards like Devilry of Orthanc. Have you considered using it?

Not really, I use it in my berserker deck.. Alot of these Uruks have to exert for their text anyway.. What would you ditch for some Devilry of Orthanc ?
