What do I do in the event of a scam?

In most cases, learn your lesson and do nothing.

In theory, you could file federal mail fraud charges.

At the very least, report the trader to www.gabtraders.com so that people can check the database on good and bad internet traders and future people can avoid your mistake.

Keep in mind international shipping times can take 4 to 6 weeks or more in some cases. Also, there are a lot of international freighters that are delayed or behind due to the disaster in Japan.

There's always the case that the cards did legitimately get lost in the mail. In some cases, ask the trader if the cards had been sent or if there is any way you can get your cards back (or some other reimbursement).

GAB traders is a load of cow #$&*@! in my opinion.  I'm on their 'list' even though i've made close to 500 succesful trades in my life.  I did screw up during a brief period of time and regardless of eventually making things right, I could not get my name removed from that list.

I agree with this.  I am on the bad traders list as well.  All because one dude said he never got my cards, which I think was a lie.  Since then I have made hundreds of good trades on various sites.

I have dealt with you before and have no problem serving as a reference for you (in fact, if I remember correctly I was one of the first people to deal with you when you started trading/selling again). But just because you are on the list you think it is a bad resource? I take all entries on there with a grain of salt as I truly don't know the circumstances of every deal everywhere, but I do still check the list.

When a bad trader is added to the list, a moderator is supposed to confirm with both parties the circumstances of the addition.

But my main point is that the website is nothing more than a resource--hardly a load of cow #$&*@!. I haven't seen any singular website do what Gab Traders has been doing for years in a better fashion.

Funny thing, I know jonobgood in RL and our family actually bought our house off his family. Afterwords my brother starting trading online and since we had the same address as him they thought my brother's username was another alias of jonobgood's so they wouldn't trade with him either LOL.

The move was unrelated.  GAB can blow me.  Long story short, there was an #$&*@! in Australia (Kelley Fuller) that ripped me off on Ebay for some cards.  I started harassing him daily to try and get my money back.  To retaliate he created an email address almost identical to mine and used trading sites to get stuff sent to a PO in Australia in my name.
