Which cards strike you as having the most "flavor"?
As a lover of Tolkien's books and Jackson's movies, the flavor of individual cards (and of the game as a whole really) has always been a big part of what makes lotr tcg so appealing to me. I love it when a card illustrates a character or event in the story or when it does functionally exactly what the title or the lore suggests.
Here are some of my favorites:
Delving -- An old-fashioned word for digging for precious metals or jewels, the title of this card is obviously very appropriate. It also fits perfectly within dwarf culture.
The Underdeeps of Moria -- Deep in the innermost caverns of your draw deck the goblins are lurking!
Ent Draught +
Everyone Knows -- If you've seen the extended edition of the The Two Towers movie, you may remember a scene where Pippin drinks water from Treebeard's forest spring and it causes him to literally grow. Pippin asserts that he is taller than everyone, but Merry disagrees, "
Everyone knows I'm
the tall one, your
the short one." So in the card game,
ent draught makes hobbits taller (i.e. extra vitality).
Abandoning Reason for Madness -- Just like Saruman, the player who uses this card is likely to exchange good cards for ones that are no better, or even worse. But once in a while, it just might work...
