I strongly dislike Ramp Decks, mainly because they seem like 2 bad decks that, when put together and played in the right order, might be good, but mathematically speaking (roughly, of course), chances are you're getting the wrong half more often than not, so you're either drawing ramp spells in the late game, or ramping into nothing because you didn't draw anything after they dealt with the first big thing, or you're drawing huge things on turns 3-4 and stalling on mana development. Acidic Slime is awesome, though not something I'm too keen on ramping up too. You see, right now you're "ramping up" to 5 mana. And that's it. Your curve simply stops there, so, what do you need ramping anyway? You could just play more lands instead of the ramp spells and still have room for more utilitarian spells. Ramp decks should take you over the top to net a huge advantage, like a turn 5 Bogardan Hellkite or something, otherwise it's just no worth it.
