Assassin, the Game (Round 3)

Is this really a riddle?  A riddle asks a question.
I guess the question is "what new jelly does the giant want on his bread?"

The story says the giant wants to grind the bones to makes his bread, not for the jelly.
So would it be blood?

Blood and bones?

Very tricksy...

Time
What know we of this despondent thing
No sign no sound no tranquil ring
We try to tell its quantity
yet fail to see the point
Only one can know of it
to this eternal joint
We have not power in Use
To hold this creature bay
But only wait for it to change
Inside the soul of it we lay

Hmmm. I think the part about go hide under a mountain or hill might refer to Dain.

Did you mean protect?

Or are you actually arresting Dain?

I protect aperson77.

Could be the jelly the giant wants.  I guess it's mostly a random pick.

Could also be SM, madgoblin, a whole bunch of others.

Uh...well I guess I'll work on the clue until Incog shows up or GoG gets here to arrest me. Whichever comes first.

I tend to pick up on capitalization things. It kind of makes sense that each line starts with a capital letter, and that "Giant" is also capitalized. But put them all together and you get FJORGYN. Could be a Caesar cipher or some other scramble, but interestingly, "Fjörgyn" is the name of Thor's mother in the Old Norse, according to a quick Google search. Still not sure how that all fits in (or how much time we have left before Incog shows up), but it seems like a promising lead....

Yeah, I'd considered that. Seems an odd Norse reference, though. Kind of an obscure figure.

Can I protect someone even while being arrested? If so, I'll protect Drake.
Best regards,
Dáin

ROTF, I can just imagine the scene as a Garrison of Gondor's finest surrounds an axe-wielding Dwarf with a duck under his arm who swings at anyone that comes close enough.

You have NO idea how hard it is to type AND try to beat away folks with my axe at the same time. Not to mention trying to catch up on Norse mythology during the commotion as well!

Quack! Look out for the guy on the right! Quack! AFLAC!  :o

Insert civilian interference:

Well that took you guys long enough to find. :P Actually, I had completely missed it too.
Fjorgyn, mother of Thor. The name also means Earth. Other names for her are Jorth and Hlothyn.

Oh, and as a side note, she was a giantess.
Forget it. I'm not arguing with the computer anymore to try to get the sig I want....

You just did, as far as I'm concerned, now wait for Incognito to pop in and tell you wether you're right or not, this is usually how it goes.
