Desparate Defense/Nazgul corruption

What do you guys think of this minion side? One note: Ships of Great Draught are in there only to deal with Madril DoO, since my brother like to use him.

So heres the strategy behind this:
Use ships of great draught to prevent Madril DoO from screwing everything up   (also to pull easterling guard back out)
Use Orcs to get Desparate Defense of the ring out, two on the ringbearer and two on their main companion (or one on two of their main companions), and force assignemnts to companions bearing it. The orcs can all add additional burdens if they aren't defeated.

Get Lingering Shadow out and place it on the Ringbearer, then assign Ulaire Nertea and Bill Ferny to him, triggering 2x desparate defense of the ring, as well as transferring Lingering Shadow to him. Hopefully wounding him as well.

When the ringbearer has two wounds on him, use dark temptation to cause 5 burdens, and 5-10 exertions if Gates of the Dead City are on the field.

Use Ulaire Toldea and Morgul Vanguard to either trigger Desparate Defense of the Ring or, in the case of toldea, hatred stirred to get Nertea back.

I know the card count is pretty high (44), but it fits with my Gandalf/Theoden fellowship which needs a high card count too.
