The Nine Walkers
« on: December 24, 2011, 10:10:34 PM »
I am looking into making a deck (mostly for fun) that has all 9 of the original fellowship members in it, and was hoping the wonderful people of this forum would have suggestions for support cards that would make having such a wacky fellowship worthwhile. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

G for Grand and Gandalf leader of the Company would be a good start, as it's a nice universal pump.

Dauntless hunter and Shadowplay with unheeded, and wingfoot, and the rare gimli from th Two Towers.

comanions;
Frodo hofp with the one ring sawtc
sam lf
merry rs
pippin sts
aragorn dbn x3
boromir sod
gimli fc x2
legolas nw
gandalf lotc x4

possessions:
sting botel
hobbit sword x3
gimli's battle axe tw
anduril fotw
glamdring fh

conditions:
measure of comfort x3
g for grand x4
the nine walkers (for flavor)
refuge x3

I would start merry, pippin and legolas (for refuge) and start on green dragon inn for sam. the rest is simple to understand.

If you are playing all pre-shadows companions with G for Grand, pack Sam, Steadfast Friend instead so that one burden you can't peal doesn't kill your freeps.

Measure of comfort x3 does that very well, but Sam, Loyal Friend would be better than both gew and sam, steadfast friend. I'll change GEW for Loyal Friend.

Also, Sting, Weapon of Heritage can be a great resistance boost/burden remover.

How about Sting, Long Elven Knife? Can help your threat control with aragorn.
