Stacked minions, wounds and borne cards
« on: October 07, 2012, 02:54:55 AM »
Hi,

There are plenty of cards that stack minions on a site you control or on a condition.

I always assumed that when stacking a minion on another card, the staking action removed all wounds from the minion, and that all other cards borne by the minion were discarded.

But then I read the text of Goblin Swarms. As it is the only stacking card I know of that explicitly states thats wounds are removed and cards borne by minion are discarded, I had a doubt. Do other cards work the same way or is Goblin swarms an exception?

Other cards work the same iirc. Its just that Swarms is the grandfather of all stacking cards. Stacked cards are considered out of play, so they cannot have wounds.

Decipher was still ironing out the mechanics of the game in the first set, which is why Goblin Swarms is worded differently. Also check out Greatest Kingdom of My People for another example of weird wording.
All cards do what they say, no more, no less.
