The Strat: bid 1, make them go first. Load your site path with underground sites (my playgroup allows all sites from sets 1-10). use The Binding Ring to pull Narya so Bilbo's game text can be satisfied every turn. Dwarf Guards and Thrarin are for Disquiet of Our People style heroics, although a guard with an axe and an endurance is a half way decent companion. Book of Mazarbul and The Grey Pilgrim get you to your maximum card draw fast and this is a very fast cycling deck. Ring of Retribution goes on Gloin when you can spare the burdens from The Binding Ring. That Sting and Mithril-coat are legal in movie among my friends and I because we allow promo in movie as long as there are no mechanics from sets 10+ (and what is a Hobbit deck without those items). Don't comment on that part if you don't like it because I won't care. Roll of Thunder + Deep in Thought are meant to be used at the same time. Start double moving around site 5 when you have 2-3 of Disquiet of Our People / Out of the High Airs / Light the Beacons. Elrond is mostly for Gandalf because of Till Durin Wakes Again, Consorting With Wizards and Wizard Staff. The shadow is straight foreword with Dark Places to help your fellowship get it's underground sites and Gollum for "The Hobbit" flavor. Cheers!
