Gwemegil vs Troop of Uruk-Hai

Troop of Uruk-Hai states that "a character skirmishing this minion does not gain strength bonuses from weapons." Gwemegil gives a +2 strength bonus, plus the Skirmish ability to give a strength +1 bonus by exerting the bearer or discarding cards from hand.

It's clear that Arwen with Gwemegil does not get the +2 bonus against a Troop — but, if she uses the conferred Skirmish ability, does that bonus apply? It is a strength bonus, and it does come from the weapon — but that seems incorrect somehow (and not just because I like to play elves). Can anyone point to a spot in any CRDs where this might be clarified?

Of course, wild speculation is welcome too.

She doesn't get either of the bonuses. If the bonus is printed on the weapon, it counts as a bonus from the weapon, so the Troop will ignore it.
