Sam, Gimli Choke
« on: February 20, 2013, 05:06:20 PM »
Hello guys, probably some of you already played with me on GEMP. I'm new around and with the TS league upcoming I'm wondering what I am going to play. Back in the days I've played mostly Dauntless Hunter and uruk tracker decks (since I started to play with the release of TT and sticked to it). However I had a little adventure with another fellowship - Sam Gimli Smeagol choke. I believe I'm gonna cut the smeagol for this since, Always helps is not around. I need some help building the deck tho. I'm gonna play killing shadow, so my main purpose with the fellowship is to cycle,  survive and most importantly clog the opponent's hand with shadow. Here is the build I'm testing so far with huge success on gemp :

Free Peoples Draw Deck:
1x Gimli, Son of Gloin
1x Sam, Faithful Companion
1x Rosie Cotton, Hobbiton Lass
2x Dwarven Axe
1x Gimli's Helm
1x Hand Axe
1x Bill the Pony
1x Frying Pan
2x Hobbit Sword
2x Defending the Keep
2x Delving
4x Search Far and Wide
4x Severed His Bonds
4x Swiftly and Softly
2x Endurance of Dwarves
1x Golden Light on the Land
1x Song of Durin
2x A Talent for Not Being Seen
2x Fearing the Worst                                              //Amazing tech!
2x There and Back Again

Far too expensive unfortunately, and in general the idea is that my hobbits wouldnt be able to win skirmishes, even with few promises in play. Not sure if it will help them survive more than the stealth events tho

Ah. I took advantage of the firesale around Christmas time, and I was able to get several thousand gold, so the prices of individual cards don't bother me at all. If I need a particular card for a My Cards league, I just go buy it.
