I find that difficult to believe, now that the buy/sell price system is changed and you cant do the infinite gold thing, not to mention MarcinS said that after the reset the merchant will be fixed to not slow down the Gemp while used.

Are we sure the Gemp's host isnt DDoS-ed (like the lotrtcgwiki's host was not long ago and the card images didnt load) or just down for some other reason?

actually the whole infinite gold thing is not fixed and i proved it to myself yesterday by doing some things with the merchant just to see if the problem was fixed. i went from 150 gold to over 2000 gold in about 20 minutes. i wont say how i did it because i dont want anyone else ruining it, but come on if I could do it, so could any other person. MarcinS said in my other post that removing the merchant was laughable, =D well buddy, so is his system. i sold everything back as to not raise suspicion, it was only an experiment.

Just FYI I spoke with MarcinS and it appears he introduced a bug with the last update. He will work on it over the weekend. In the meantime it looks like the site will remain down. Sorry

The thing is that you can no longer generate gold from that, the way you could before. If you SELL the things back, you are not ahead of gold (the old exploit was indeed that - you buy insane amount of a single card, then you start selling, since the selling price was always going down by 10%(how its supposed to be), but the buying price, when the merchant is out of stock was going up by 100% after each copy, you could generate infinite amount of gold). That not the case anymore.

Yeah, you could no longer generate infinite gold (we're talking billions in 20 minutes) from a single account, you can now only make large amounts using multiple accounts, that could be fixed as well, if Grond's thicket idea or something like that is used.

btw doing anything of the abovementioned takes away all the fun of collecting, and the thrill from opening and winning boosters, so i really dont understand why some people bother to do it. I mean why would you want to play in tournaments and Leagues at all - to win some boosters, when you have all the cards and the gold? And if you want all the cards, you have them in Casual already. So really doesnt make any sense.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I've finally found some time to work on this problem. I believe I have fixed it, and if it happens again, I'll have some more information that might help me to track the problem.

It should be stable now (I hope), and I'll be monitoring it for the next few hours.
