How about a wishlist for GEMP?
« on: April 08, 2013, 03:29:09 PM »
Hi everyone,

Not to sound ungrateful to Marcin's great job, I'll state first that I can't thank or congratulate him enough for GEMP.
That being said, I felt like I'd post new ideas which would be nice-to-have:

I'll list some which I have seen somewhere else as well...

Here goes (Dear Santa):
1. The discard pile could show a count (distinguished by free people cards vs shadow ones).
It could also group them by card (to easily view how many of those are left).

2. Some treatment to handle rude users (I think ideas on this are under the bad players list).

3. When setting up a casual-play table, there could be an option to set a password (in case you wait for someone specific to play with)...
By default there should be no password.

4. Rename deck option:
Is is possible to rename a deck but somewhat use an ID? (this is so that the "your stats" tab recognizes it is the same deck).

5. ...
This last one has more like a previous general questioning (and don´t know if it was debated before):
In a real game, can you actually get to know exactly how many cards are there left on your opponent's deck (mainly good information to double-move)?
If not, I think your opponent should see kind of an estimate (more like in real life). Say 1-5, 6-10, 11-20, ...

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that i'm right...

You are allowed to count the deck iirc.

What I like is to see the decksize before bidding. If I see an opponent take out qa large deck, I suspect moria and can adjust my bid compared to a thin deck which can contain nazgul/uruks.
