wow. I finally saw it last night and I was impressed... the first 2/3rds especially were amazing
I laughed
I cried :'(
and my knuckles turned right from gripping the armchair in the warehouse scene.

I thought will smith was incredible, but boy, did the trainers and the dog do a good job with sam...

anyway have any of you seen it (I know it came out last year but...)
if so what'd you think?

I had listened to the audiobook on a business trip up to Lexington, Kentucky earlier this year and was blown away.  It was really well read and the narration was tops.  I highly recommend you give it a listen sometime.

I really enjoyed the movie, it was very different from the book though.  It was so different that it was almost totally original.  I went in expecting the book, but came out with something different but still highly entertaining.

wierd, i JUST watched it a couple days ago. i thougt it was good. i'll have to give the audio book a try.

the last line of the movie was AMAZING! very well done.

the movie might not be that good when you watch it a second time since it relied so hevily on suspense. but i don't know, i've only watched it once.

Read the book the night after I went to see the movie. Got completely different experience. I enjoyed the movie in general, but the latter part with... new characters still seems a bit out of place for me. The book on the other hand has no obvious flaws. I recommend to read/listen/watch both. The order doesn't matter - neither has major spoilers for the other one.

They are going to make a prequel.  :o

Smith Set For 'I Am Legend' Prequel
25 September 2008 6:59 AM, PDT

Will Smith has been given a 40th birthday gift by Warner Bros. bosses - the chance to reprise his I Am Legend character Robert Neville in a prequel to the 2007 blockbuster.

Movie executives have greenlighted the film on the movie star's birthday, confirming Francis Lawrence will return as the director and D.B. Weiss will pen the script.

Smith's scientist character was killed in the last film.

And it's not the only Will Smith action/sci-fi blockbuster set for a second outing - the birthday boy's Hancock co-star Charlize Theron has hinted at a sequel.

In a recent interview with MTV, the actress said, "If everybody's on board, I would be an idiot (not to do it)... Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride."

I enjoyed the movie, 'twas well done.

But I have to admit I prefer Omega Man with Charlton Heston.
