Timing question about Watcher in the Water and Huge Tentacle
« on: December 15, 2013, 01:08:35 PM »
Hi there,

I have a question about Watcher in the Water, Many-Tentacled Creature (19P21) and Huge Tentacle (2R66).

Let's say the Fellowship is at a non-marsh site.
When I play Huge Tentacle, I can play Watcher in the Water from my draw deck, but the tentacle would be discarded because it is not at a marsh. Can I still play the Watcher or is the tentacle be discarded before the Watcher can be played?

If the Watcher can be played, what would happen to the tentacle?
Since the site is a non-marsh site when Huge Tentacle enters play, do I have to discard it?
But Watcher in the Water, Many-Tentacled Creature makes the current site gain marsh. Since the site is now a marsh, does the tentacle stay in play?

Thanks in advance,
Hoffman

If the current site is not a marsh, Huge Tentacle would be discarded before you can use its optional text to play the Watcher.
All cards do what they say, no more, no less.
