I bought from them about 3 - 4 years ago -- no problems.

I've used them several times in the past, but I would not purchase any "booster pack lots" from them unless you don't care about getting anything decent. The "booster pack lots" have most likely been cherry picked for the choice rares. Once you figure out the print run distribution you know where the best boosters are in the box, so they sell the leftover boosters in these lots.

Booster pack lots are boxes that have been opened and it's the left over packs.  They took and broke a lot of Anthology boxes and so they have tons of packs from those left over.  The Booster Box is the actual box.

If your looking for singles from the game and boxes, CategoryOneGames.com is the place to go.  Hill's has more boxes than we do, but for singles for the game, I can help you out however you need.  I ran events here in Utah for years so I know how hard it is to keep games going and getting people interested.

Cargul, that is an urban legend. I've been friends with many owners of gaming stores, and he says everyone has their own idea about "where the best are", but in reality, there's not really a provable system to make.

I have bought booster lots from HWG several times for both myself and resale. One of my customers was very happy with what he got in some of these lots, which included a Witch King, Greenleaf, and Gorn's Bow. I recently opened some towers packs and pulled a couple main character rares.

I think you're pretty safe in buying booster pack lots.

Well, first of all this is off topic on this, so it should be moved.

Second, its not a myth. I opened several King displays, and I could tell which rares where in there by opening 4 packs. Witchking was together with small hope and Arwen by example. Its becuase of the fixed position of cards on sheets.

The only thing i've heard is that you get a better distribution with boxes that have consecutive serial numbers.

The issue I was addressing is that if you buy loose packs from places like Hill's, you will get all garbage rares. This IS a myth. I think the most you should be worried about, as draino mentioned, was that your distribution of cards may not be as even.
