Rules on playing FP Possessions
« on: September 08, 2014, 10:00:15 PM »
Just a funny thought.

Could you use Merry, Swordthain to play x2 Horse of Rohan on minions like Easterling Host or Saruman, Agent of the Dark Lord to make them exert at the start of each of their skirmishes? That could be fun.

EDIT:
The only thing I found in the comprehensive rule book on this was

"Playing possessions
Play Free Peoples possessions under a character,
with the left edge of the card visible for its card
title and attribute bonuses (positive modifiers
for the character's strength, vitality, and/or
resistance, written with a plus sign like "+2").
Some possessions play to your support area."

Strange-Looking Men could also steal the horse for himself!

But the horse won't make the bearer exert, because if only affects the minions that are skirmishing the bearer.
All cards do what they say, no more, no less.

Ah, good point! Didn't read that correctly. As the minion itself isn't skirmishing a minion, it wouldn't exert.

I like the idea of Strange-looking Men stealing cards   In open he could steal lots of things, including flaming brands!

Better yet: Throw a Pavise on the goon and strip Gandalf of both his staff (11034) and Shadowfax (13040) and give them to Saruman :) You could also steal the following and give them to Ted Sandyman:
Hobbit Sword
Bilbo's Pipe
The Gaffer's Pipe
Frying Pan
Elven Rope
Orc Armor
Salt From the Shire (gotta fill that "box" type possession slot  \:D/)
Green Dragon Mug (00SPD2) - well...not really as it was never physically produced haha

Just look at all the fun things Ted can steal. Such a shame Strange-looking Men was nixed from Expanded XD
