Dwarven Armor (stupid question, I know)
« on: September 20, 2014, 01:43:20 PM »
I always understood things like Dwarven Armor (bearer cannot be overwhelmed unless his strength is tripled) to mean that the "he" or "his" refers to the bearers strength. For example, a strength 6 dwarf would need to be strength 18 to be able to be overwhelmed. That is more consistent with the wording of the card.
"Alas, poor Yorrick. I knew him, Horatio."

Is there a question?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Read the article on the card, and read what I said.

In short, "unless his strength is tripled" means "unless the character he is skirmishing has strength at least triple his own."

Normally, a character is overwhelmed if his enemy has strength at least double his own.

So the strength 6 dwarf wearing the Dwarven Armor can be overwhelmed if the minions he is skirmishing have a total strength of at least 18. Without the Dwarven Armor, the minions only need strength 12 to overwhelm.

I agree that the wording is ambiguous; they should have made it a loaded keyword in my opinion.

All right then. Thank you (that's gonna screw up my deck).
