For the shadow side, maybe a few more of the token-adding Corsairs so you get initiative faster.
If I can just draw ships fast enough, I can get initiative quickly. The problem I sometimes run into, is simply not drawing them fast enough, and/or running into an opponent's
GLR or a well-timed
Roll of Thunder which holds me up.
Fierce in Despair could work nicely with all of the ambush minions and Corsair War Galley you have going.
I had
Fierce in Despair in the deck for quite a while, but eventually took it out. It seemed like every time I'd want to use it, I didn't have quite enough twilight TO use it... or else the opponent would manage to kill me off down to 1 Raider. I originally put
FiD in there to get rid of
GLR, but I feel like most of the time (if the draw is on) I can get ships out quickly enough that
GLR eventually just gives up trying to get rid of them all.
A couple copies of Rout could also discourage double-moving but then you might be relying on your support area too much.
I was looking at
Rout... but here again the problem seems to be just not getting ships out fast enough. Who knows, maybe I will have to downsize after all!
Maybe Gimli, DoE for the FP side and switch the RB to Galadriel? He's the only dwarf card in movie block I can think of that lets you put cards on the bottom of your deck.
I'd have to start with him, or else I'd never draw him reliably. And if I start with him, then I can't start with Arwen and
Greenleaf. I think that pair is stronger. Plus, I'm not really seeing why I would need to put cards on the bottom of my deck. Normally Arwen has no problem just doing her thing and blitzing minions with the usual 50/50 chance of an elf card.
Rest by Blind Night / Preparations could also work if your deck is depleted, plus it works with Shoulder to Shoulder.
So far I've never depleted the deck. The closest I've ever gotten, is 5 cards remaining.
I love the S2S + Greenleaf / Cirdan combo.
Heh heh, thanks! The nice thing about Arwen is she gets those events into your discard pile REALLY FAST, and
Cirdan rapidly becomes nearly invincible.
Don't play DoE. Honestly, Mallorn Trees would be better.
Can someone clue me in on why I would want to do this?
The deck seems effective, though I don't like random Elven Bows in movie. Enduring minions such as Shelob and ToTo are everywhere, so if you aren't going full on archery, you normally will be in for a bit of hurting.
That is actually a really great point. It would be an easy downsize option, too. Maybe I'll try a version with no elven bows!
It's not often I see SotBR or EoL, especially in movie. Nice!
Thanks! So long as I get one or two out, burden removal is quite effective with all the tales I've got.
