Are we going to have groups again, like the ones on CC?

I think it's too much trouble for very little gain.

Well, let's just be glad that we have a community...But we could do something like the Rider's Cup, US vs Europe. But I also can imagine that it wouldn't be fun for the US, as you have no chance in what ever competition...mwhuahahaha

Others could just pick sides......

I really don't think it's necessary. Those who want to debate will, and those who don't will not. We all know who's interested anyway, why is a group designation needed or useful?

i was just thinking that if we had a group of respectful debaters, we could help promote helpful debates, and limit the senseless spammish arguments. i was talking with sheildmaiden and she said one of the biggest reasons she hasn't been around is that she can't stand how the debates have been going. and how people didn't respect each other's oppinions and stuff. it's just a thought.

You know we can do those things without having a specific "group", right? We can continue to act responsibly and post in a mature manner without someone else telling us to do so. I mean c'mon, we've been doing that already, so why do we need the group? I just feel that it comes off as elitist, and the point of community debates should be to encourage participation, not the opposite.

But if you really need somebody to tell you what to do all the time and how to do it, then I'll gladly take the position of your overlord.

Hmmm, didn't the US just beat Europe in the Ryder Cup???

look, we had a lot of junk lately, arguments that didn't hold water similar to: obama is a terd, and stuff like that. i think the things that have been done already are sufficient, like AD's announcement and stuff. it was just the only thing i could come up with that a group might be useful for.

anyways. bad idea. sorry. lol.

and if you want to try to be my overlord, go ahead, make my day. \:D/

I agree with hawkeye... groups seem a bit unnecessary.
