Voted Gimli and Legolas, to maintain the initial idea introduced with Signets.
Well, you could interpret their intentions in 2 different ways: 1) as all the companions featured in FotR (with a few exceptions) were (unsurprisingly) of the fellowship, they made entirely fellowship signets, 2) but they also chose the most important members and leaders of the fellowship so you could argue that they were looking for leaders. If you were trying to follow on from the former, then Legolas and Gimli make the most sense. If you're going from the latter, Dáin/Glóin and Elrond/Galadriel make more sense.

However, I think you could have more than one signet per culture, no problem. And you could divide them per race, so "Hobbit signet" would mean Frodo's, Bilbo's, etc.
I like this idea, it's fun! SoP: do that!

Not actually Fellowship leaders, since we have Theoden's signet as well. ANd when was Theoden's signet created? When the Rohan culture came into being, which also validates my point. It could be argued, however, that there's no Smeagol signet, but that is also explainable, since even though the culture branches out into FP as well, it's STILL the Gollum culture.

waiiiittt so your saying have a culture signet? you know what?
screw this.  I'll have a gimli signet, a dain signet, an elrond signet and a legolas signet, unless anyone can dissuade me. I might as well go whole hog add a eomer, denethor, and bilbo signet while a I'm at it ;)
unless anyone can dissuade me.

I was actually encouraging you to do it. ¬¬
I'd pack a Galadriel signet as well, and perhaps a Treebeard/Saruman/Gwaihir one (or all). A Smeagol signet could be fun, too.

Yes! Why have a limit to the number of signets?

Well, mainly because if you get crazy and give every single character their own signet, then design gets sloppy and you end up losing signet identity. Which is why I'd advocate for having 2 signets per culture, tops, so that you could either focus on a signet, or on a signet's culture, to build around them. With that in mind, I'd advocate for following the game's first idea (having a signet for each major character in the culture from the movie), and the players view on signets (which I think is actually the more correct one), which is having a signet for "leaders" within the ranks of that culture. So, you'd get either a Denethor/Faramir signet (you could trat Aragorn's either way, depending on the one you might want to have), Éomer/Éowyn signet (probably Éomer), Treebeard signet, Legolas and Elrond/Galadriel signet, Gimli and Gloin/Dain signet, Bilbo signet. I'd have a Sméagol signet, but that'd be it for his culture.

well than...you convicned me ;)
yes I want to limit it to two per culture.  I'm gonna wai ton the shire one, as I'm not sure exactly who should get it.
I will definitly have a treebeard signet.
I don't think smeagol really needs a signet...most of the time he can have a frodo signet, or none at all.
