I thought McCain's concession speech was magnificent. I have huge respect for that man even if I didn't want him to win. His call for everyone to stand behind their President and his stopping of the boos show what great honour he has.

Which, depending on WHAT DIRECTION it's taken, might not actually be a bad thing after all. As I said before, Socialism as a system is NEVER gonna work, and I'm not a supporter, but it DOES have its ups, after all, everything has. Let's hope that, if he DOES indeed decide to "take a step towards socialism", he chooses the GOOD stuff from it, which I think he will. Otherwise, my offer still stands, sign me up and give me a banner, I'll march for impeachment!

after the starting of the war in the iraq in 2003, most of the us-american citizens complained about george w. bush's "fighting the terrorism war". even very patriotic and god-trusting americans started thinking about the question, if bush really represented their wishes, imaginationes... etc. i think i know what im talking about, although i'm from germany. when i was in seattle last year, i saw much "anti bush" stuff, e.g. a calender which counted down his days in gouvernment. if this wasn't a sign.. i don't know what else ;-)
most germans welcome the election of obama, me too. independent to his giant speech in berlin (btw.: this speech wasn't really good...)

I'll just say this. Obama promises change and the change he wants to bring about would violate parts of the Constitution. By communism I mean his plans to turn America socialist by raising taxes and spending more on welfare. Say you make $250,000 a year. Say your next-door neighbor makes $10,000. Under Obama, the more money you make, the more you get taxed. What's the point of working hard if so much of your hard-earned money is being given to someone else? If we go socialist in twenty years we'll look just like Russia after the U.S.S.R. fell. I don't have to be voting age to know the impact of this election. I know you all hate Bush, and he did compromise a lot on some issues, but Iraq, Iraq I think he handled well. Contrary to what our liberal media spouts we are actually doing really well in Iraq. I'll bet though, with Obama at the helm that we'll cut and run and it will turn out just like Vietnam did thirty years ago.

Did you hear Obama's speech? I'm only a little bit American and I cried near the end. My Dad was crying from near the beginning. From a foreign approach we like Obama pretty much because he looks like he is going to be a President that actually shows us some respect unlike the last eight years of the Bush Administration trying to bully the rest of the world into submission. I mean the 'special relationship' has been so abused by America over the past eight years that a lot in Britain wish we didn't have it at all. Obama looks and sounds like a man who wants to mend those bridges which Bush burnt down.

don't you know why he gave the advice to attack the iraq?! to fight against the terrorism?! NO - it's because of the oil in north-east / south-west of afrika / asia.

Hey, if you think what I said was stupid, that's your opinion. I don't mind, but remember I think what I think for a reason. The facts support that we are winning and to pull out now, in my opinion would be foolish.
