I don%u2019t seem to have much trouble getting minions, but yes I need a slimmer deck lol. Do you have any suggestions?
Elrond seems to be doing the least for you overall, and
Vilya, Ring of Air is somewhat unreliable and probably worth cutting. (I don't like singleton
Ring of Air without
The Binding Ring.)
Aegnor, Elven Escort or
Glorfindel, Revealed in Wrath are options. There are more-reliable healing options than companion Elrond, like
Elrond, Herald to Gil-Galad or
Shadow Between.
I would cut one of the non-Aiglos hand weapons, if not both. It's just bloat that you'd mainly be playing on Arwen or Elrond, when they're your third or fourth best skirmishers in many circumstances. Honestly the same argument applies to
Asfaloth, who is probably overkill, but that's such a great card in movie that I hate to suggest cutting it. You can pick up a tool for cycling in
Shadow Between instead.
You could be a little more ruthless cutting dupes of the conditions, possibly using
The Council of Elrond to smooth things out. (I don't know why people don't play that card more in
Cirdan decks!)
The Council of Elrond can grab
The Splendor of their Banners early, pick a one-of or two-of
Hosts of the Last Alliance, or just turn itself into a pricier copy of
Alliance Reforged (while not counting against the rule of 4 itself, and setting up
Cirdan faster). It's giving away more twilight but it's setting up
Cirdan and filtering.
Is there an orc deck you're really afraid of that you're running
Curse Their Foul Feet? I don't see this deck as particularly vulnerable to morcs or Moria. I personally prefer
Stand Against Darkness for that sort of thing, but without
GLR, this is some more bloat you could cut.
I think
The Witch-King, Black Captain is a gimmick, compared to
The Witch-king, Morgul King. You're already running a threat package anyway, and this lets you store his toys (or run
The Pale Blade) safely in discard for later retrieval.
I'd run one of each Toldea. If you really want three, two Winged Sentries and one
Messenger of Morgul.
Winged Sentry is a strong minion no matter when it comes out, while
Messenger of Morgul is really reliant on spotting those burdens. And if you can spot those burdens and you're fishing with
Morgul King or
Morgulduin, you probably want
shotgun Enquea instead anyway.
Drawn to Its Power and
The Ring Draws Them are the epitome of win-more cards. I'm not a fan of them, and I'd recommend looking at your replays to see if they're really the cards closing out games. They feel great to use but I think they're bloat.
I don't think
Fear is the strongest card you could be using to exert Nazgul. Some other options are
Relentless Charge,
Black Marshal, more
BNAP, or
Ithil Stone. There's no ally that makes me go, "Welp, this deck's done" but being able to pick off
Greenleaf or greater consistency overall? Those are both useful.
All Blades Perish feels like it might clog. I know it's helping with wounding matchups though.
Hopefully this is a start on slimming down the deck.
