Elven Telepathy & Token Corsairs
« on: March 25, 2009, 05:52:16 PM »
Does anyone have any good decklists for an Elven Telepathy deck paired with Corsairs?

One Ring to rule them all.
One Ring to find them.
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness, bind them.

Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom
The One Ring, The Ring of Rings
*Legolas, Of the grey company
*Rumil, Brother of Haldir
2x Celeborn, Lord of the Galadhrim
2x Elrond, Witness to History
2x Elven Bow
2x Nocked
2x Mirkwood Bowman
2x Glimpse of Fate
3x City of the Trees
2x Attunement
3x Still Needed
Celebring, Elven Smith
Galadriels Silver Ewer
2x Uncertain Future
2x Nenya
Vilya, Ring of Air
2x Seclusion
---------------------
Well, I do not know what you want to do with telepathy nor what kind of corsairs you would like to play. Swarming corsairs or killing ones?

This is a wounding telepathy deck. Advantages for:
Vilya, Celeborn, Legolas, Rumil, Attunement, Mirkwood Bowman....

This is a cycling Corsair deck I posted on an earlier topic. It's 38 cards, but right now you can easily go through that many. If you want to reduce the size, take out a few Corsair plunderers. The strategy is fairly simple- use the corsair's effect to get tokens on the possessions, get initiative with Corsair War Galley, and you can be fairly damaging. Then, if your opponent moves on, remove tokens from SoGD to stack any insane combo you want( e.g. Castimir with Raider halberd, Brute with Corsair Ballista). Discarding Under Foot lets you draw another 4-5 cards during the shadow phase, so you can swarm, beat down, or just be as annoying as possible.

ºCastamir of Umbar x3
Corsair Marauder x4
Corsair Ruffian x2
Corsair Brute x2
Corsair Boatswain x3
Corsair Plunderer x4
Ships of Great Draught x3
Black Sails of Umbar x2
Corsair War Galley x3
Corsair Ballista x2
Raider Halberd x2
ºUnder Foot x2
ºHaradwaith
Wind That Sped Ships x3
Discovered
Red Wrath

I don't think Corsairs are the best to combine with Elven telepathy. I play my telepathy decks with forearmed to overwhelm my opponent's minions. Put Sauron on top of your deck. That deck I play with galadriel RB, Glorfindel RiW and Celeborn the Wise. Galadriel's ring to put stuff on top and to heal and run, run like the wind. Crashing Calvary is a nice addition to these decks, to make sure that dirty minions are not able to use their abilities
I allways combine it with Sauron, for the high strenght minions, and besiegers like to control sites, so running ahead of the party is nice!

Elrond and Banner, that is good stuff....forearmed on top of your deck, play the forearmed in your hand and draw another forearmed..well the order must be different, but still, it is great, haha

Is the only reason I need Galadriel's Silver Ewer to make her str +2 and resistance +2?
One Ring to rule them all.
One Ring to find them.
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness, bind them.

Is there anyway to rewrite this deck without Silver Ewer and the Gandalf, MoW ???
One Ring to rule them all.
One Ring to find them.
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness, bind them.
