You should have Merry and Pippin in your starting fellowship otherwise Gimli and Legolas are worthless. Then, if you plan to use cards such as Quick As Maybe, use Gimli as your Ring-Bearer.
I play an unbound hobbit deck. It works real well to play shadow play x4, unheeded x4, knocked on the head x4 double up on gorn's bow and use ranger's sword from set 1. drop lego's gear and remove all the dwarf stuff. use a light in his mind for burden control. The only thing missing is condition removal. you could run greyhame with deep in thought or grown suddenly tall
If I am not mistaken, Broad Bladed Sword says, "Bearer cannot take wounds." Or maybe "may not take wounds." Regardless, that is different than a card like High Vantage which "prevents wounds."Thus, Broad Bladed Sword only protects that one minion from 100 archery.Like I said, this is only true if the text is "cannot/may not take wounds (except during skirmishes)" which I am 90% sure it is.-wtk
