How important is TLHH/GCCG to you?

It takes a simple glance at the forums stats to see that activity is declining. Now, it seems that GCCG is ending. How important is it to keep GCCG (and/or TLHH ) around? Please vote. You get two options; make sure to select 1) whether you play GCCG and/or post in the forums and 2) how active you are.

I'm a big fan of the card lists, and the decks and rules forums. This seems to be the only remaining website that has those sort of things for LOTR TCG.

I don't know if I've ever posted on the site (because I haven't felt like I've had anything to add to most conversations thus far), but I stop by regularly (without logging in).  I'm glad it's here; that's for sure.  The card game is still a big deal to me.  This is the only site I see people talking about it.

I'll try and be more active.

Actually, I'm preparing to sell all my LotR cards. All of it, decks, foils, sets, promos. I'd MUCH prefer to sell within the US, simply due to the relative ease of shipment compared with international shipping, but I suppose I'm up for whatever.

The marketplace is very important to me as are the deckbuilding fora. It would be horrible, if those went down.

I wasn't aware of the fact that this community was in decline and many of the old guard were already pondering or about to put the game aside for good.

Maybe it is only a hobby, but it would be very sad, if the only noteworthy community for the game went down. How disheartening it would be, if the only place left was ebay, where you could get some "information" on the game...

P.S.: Maybe I should start saving decklists and other gameplay ideas posted on here to some sort of offline reference materials...

I just get back to the game, and these forums provide excellent resources . I played a lot on GCCG in the past month, and also actively traded in the marketplace here, so I would be really sad without them.

Love the forums and have messed around with the GCCG a little bit. It looks like a really cool game and when I get some more time would love to play more! That is if it survives Mount Doom!!!

Yes GCCG is like the best online game!! I play it whenever there is no one to play in real life GCCG and forums have always been here for me and that's why i love it so much!!!

This was a tough vote for me, because LotR is a game I know I'll always come back to at some point or another, but I haven't played it at all lately.  By the definitions offered in the poll, I could only go with, "I'm moving on in life" (just 'cause I haven't checked posts here in quite some time).

However, I don't think the "moving on" vote is truly indicative of my feelings regarding TLHH.  Like I said, I always know I'll be back some day, and when I do, it'd be nice to find there's still a community hanging around.

So the answer is:  yes, I think it's important to keep TLHH around (especially since this is really the only remaining LotR TCG community, as far as I know), even if I'm guilty of ignoring it lately.

I only post when the possibility of a trade seems realistic. If I have nothing to offer, or I still have the same cards that nobody seemed interested in the last time I posted, then I just wait until someone posts cards that I am looking for and send a PM.

My problem is that I really do want to be active on the forum (especially the Chamber!), but there aren't enough other active people to really facilitate that.

Yaknow, it's been a long time since I've been around here. I've gotten busy with a lot (a lot) of other stuff, and I don't really think I'll be part of the community much. Things could change. I might get back into LOTR. But I'm busy doing a lot of stuff.

I enjoy visiting the forums still even if I don't post as much as I used to. I also enjoyed GCCG a ton when I played, it just became way too much of a distraction. I hope a new GCCG server is found soon though! Good luck all!
