Hello community,

I`m new to lotr tcg and to this board, but I´m very happy that I found it!
I read several posts and got many answers, but some questions are still open. Perhaps any of you could help me with that. I really would be very happy about that!

1. If I have played 2 Uruk-hai in the shadow phase and one of them is wearing http://lotrtcgwiki.com/wiki/lotr04142. Then in the archery phase I`m getting 1 archery wound . Am I allowed to assign that wound to the one wearing the handweapon and e wont get it or do I have to assign the wound to the one without handweapon?

2. I s it allowed to play http://lotrtcgwiki.com/wiki/lotr01157 2 or more times to your support area to reduce fellowship archery more than 1?

3. healing.... I really read several post about healing but I`m not sure if I got it right. We play it like this atm:
If your fellowship starts at a sanctuary you are allowed to remove up to 5 wounds without doing anything for it (like playing cards for or "discard to heal") and the other stuff like such cards: http://lotrtcgwiki.com/wiki/lotr04093 or "discard to heal" could be played at any site. Is that correct?

4. Most of my cards are Set 1-4 and now I got a couple of cards from set 7 (and some of set 10). What do I have to consider if I want to mix them together to build decks (not for tournement just to play together at home)? As simple as possible.

Hi Fali!

I'd be happy to answer these questions

1. If you have 2 Uruk-hai and one is bearing Broad-Bladed Sword, then anything that would direct wounds to minions (whether archery wounds or cards like Defend It and Hope) must go automatically to the Uruk-hai who is not bearing the sword. If you had 3 Uruk-hai, with 1 bearing this sword, then you could choose between the two that do not have a sword, but in this case the wound would go directly to the single Uruk who is not protected.

2. Yes! As you can have up to 4 in your deck, each of these conditions would reduce the Fellowship Archery total by 1. If you had 4 on the table it would be -4.

3. You are playing correctly. When your fellowship is at a sanctuary, at the start of the turn, you may heal up to 5 wounds from your companions at no cost.

4. There were some new game mechanics that were added with set 7, primarily initiative and threats. These game mechanics are only present in some of the cards. For example, if you are using a Towers site path, and you wanted to play companions like Arwen, Fair Elf Maiden, or Gandalf, Defender of the West, these could theoretically be added to your decks without affecting anything, since you are playing within your own group. You could also incorporate cards that have these new game mechanics, but the site path wouldn't necessarily facilitate them.
If you DO have King block site path, with enough sites to play all sites from site 7, then you could simply play according to the Movie block format:

sites from block: King
Ring-bearer skirmish can be cancelled: no
X-listed: Aggression, •Aragorn, Heir to the White City, •Bill the Pony, •Elrond, Lord of Rivendell, Flaming Brand, Forces of Mordor, Frying Pan, •Galadriel, Lady of Light, Gondorian Captain, •Horn of Boromir, •Memories of Darkness, Mordor Fiend, No Stranger to the Shadows, •Ottar, Man of Laketown, •The Palantir of Orthanc, Relics of Moria, •Saruman, Keeper of Isengard, Savagery to Match Their Numbers, •Steadfast Champion, •Sting, •Úlairë Nertëa, Messenger of Dol Guldur,
R-listed: none

NOTE: X-listed means that card isn't allowed to be played....but since you guys aren't playing tournament level and are playing your own cards, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to include your Elrond or Flaming Brand, etc...the x-list is more for keeping power cards under control in a competitive gaming atmosphere.

Now I`ll have a look on the set 7 cards and then I`ll decide which decks I`ll gona build and try.
