In shadow sets and beyond, are allies just never at home, or do you just ignore the whole home 3T and 2K thing?

Post Shadows, the Fellowship will never be at the Ally's home site. This even applies to Fellowship Block allies, despite Shadows sites having the same (lack of) symbol on the site.

However, allies' home sites can still be spotted for things like Lady Udomiel.

While checking something else, I stumbled across the official rules wording:

Quote
Allies have no home sites on adventure paths from the Shadows expansion set onward. Each ally in your support area is considered to be at his home site.
