Wow..... I haven't posted here for a while. I think I'm taking a bit of a break from my DC set- for now I'll go back to posting random cards. ;D

How about the Watcher?

[6]ºThe Watcher in the Water, Fell Creature [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str: 11
Vit: 5
Sit: 4
Ambush [3]. Damage +1.
While you can spot the Watcher, discard all other minions (except tentacles).
Skirmish: Exert the Watcher and play a tentacle from your draw deck to make the free peoples player assign that minion to a companion.
Skirmish: Discard two tentacles not assigned to a skirmish to heal the Watcher.

Not sure about the wording.
Now some tentacles..

[3]Swarming Tentacle [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str: 4
Vit:2
Sit:4
Tentacle. Damage +1. Ambush [1].
If you play this minion during the skirmish phase, it is strength +2 until the regroup phase.
Each time this minion wins a skirmish, you may heal The Watcher in the Water.

[3]Giant Tentacle [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str:7
Vit:2
Sit:4
Tentacle. Damage +1. Ambush [1].
If you play this minion during the skirmish phase, it is strength +2 until the regroup phase.
Response: If The Watcher in the Water is about to take a wound, discard this minion to prevent that.

Now the card that makes it work...

[2]ºDon't Disturb the Water [Moria]
Condition-Support Area
Shadow: Discard a card from hand or remove [2] to place a tentacle from your discard pile beneath your draw deck.
Shadow: Spot a tentacle in your discard pile and remove it from the game to play The Watcher in the Water from your draw deck.

And..

[2]ºScourge of Westgate [Moria]
Condition-Support Area
Manuever: If you can spot 1 or fewer minions and [5] twilight, skip the archery phase.
Response: If one of your [Moria] conditions is about to be discarded, discard this condition to prevent that.

[6]ºThe Watcher in the Water, Fell Creature [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str: 11
Vit: 5
Sit: 4
Ambush [3]. Damage +1. Fierce.
To play, spot no other minions.
While you can spot the Watcher, you may not play other minions (except tentacles).
Each tentacle is Fierce.
Skirmish: Exert the Watcher and play a tentacle from your draw deck to make the free peoples player assign that minion to a companion.
I like ambush on the Watcher, nice touch. I think you can cover all your bases by the line "Discard all other minions (except tentacles)" because this would happen at all times, when you played the Watcher, and when you played another minion. I'm not sure about the skirmish ability - it seems like assigning during the skirmish phase is a little bit clunky. Given that the watcher makes them fierce, it might be okay just to play the tentacles.

[3]ºGiant Tentacle [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str: 7
Vit:2
Sit:4
Tentacle. Damage +1.
If you play this minion during the skirmish phase, it is twilight cost -1 and strength +2 until the regroup phase.
Each time this minion wins a skirmish, you may heal The Watcher in the Water.
Feels like it doesn't have to be unique, and is fairly cool, though I'm not sure about the flavour of a thing's tentacle healing it.

[3]Swarming Tentacle [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str:4
Vit:2
Sit:4
Tentacle. Damage +1.
If you play this minion during the skirmish phase, it is twilight cost -1 and strength +2 until the regroup phase.
Response: If The Watcher in the Water is about to take a wound, discard this minion to prevent that.
This one I like much more, it makes flavour sense that a tentacle might get killed instead of something hitting the Watcher.

[2]ºDon't Disturb the Water [Moria]
Condition-Support Area
Shadow: Discard a card from hand or remove [2] to place a tentacle from your discard pile beneath your draw deck.
Shadow: Spot a tentacle in your discard pile and remove it from play to play The Watcher in the Water from your draw deck.
You need "remove it from the game" instead, but this is otherwise very cool and interesting. Not sure about balance, but it doesn't scream broken to me.

This is quite good. Although I do agree with Thranduil about the healing part.

[3]Giant Tentacle [Moria]
Minion-Creature
Str:7
Vit:2
Sit:4
Tentacle. Damage +1.
If you play this minion during the skirmish phase, it is twilight cost -1 and strength +2 until the regroup phase.
Response: If The Watcher in the Water is about to take a wound, discard this minion to prevent that.

I like this one better than the other one.

Not quite broken, almost reminds me of the Bridge of Khazad-Dum from FotR block.

[2]ºScourge of Westgate [Moria]
Condition-Support Area
Manuever: If you can spot 1 or fewer minions and [5] twilight, skip the archery phase.
Response: If one of your [Moria] conditions is about to be discarded, discard this condition to prevent that.

Not bad!

One Ring to rule them all.
One Ring to find them.
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness, bind them.

With Swarming Tentacle, I just wanted a way to heal the Watcher- getting more minions out, winning more skirmishes, healing the Watcher more- but it is hard to pull off, as you don't get some tentacles until other skirmishes are already over.

Tweaked them again.

One from the DC chain.

[2]ºBilbo, Sarcastic Hobbit [Shire]
Companion-Hobbit
Str:3
Vit:4
Res:4 [Ring]
Bilbo is Resistance +2 for each of the following races you can spot: Dwarf, Wizard, Man, and Elf.
Skirmish: If Bilbo is bearing the One Ring, add three burdens to cancel a skirmish involving a dwarf.

A few more..
[3]ºBoromir, Valiant Man of Gondor [Gondor]
Companion-Man
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 6
Each unbound hobbit bearing a hand weapon is strength +1.
Skirmish: Exert Boromir to make an unbound companion with strength less than his strength +2.

[3]ºFaramir, Valiant Man of Gondor [Gondor]
Companion-Man
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 8
Ranger. Archer.
Fellowship: Add [3] and spot two Ringbound hobbits to remove a burden.

[2]ºThe Steward and the King
Condition-Support Area
While you can spot Aragorn, Boromir is resistance +2, Faramir is strength +2, and Denethor is strength -2.

I love the skirmish text! But, I think I would rather see him at straight resistance 8 without the first line.

[3]ºBoromir, Valiant Man of Gondor [Gondor]
Companion-Man
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 6
Each unbound hobbit bearing a hand weapon is strength +1.
Skirmish: Exert Boromir to make an unbound companion with strength less than his strength +2.
Nice card! Perhaps his subtitle could be "Defender of the Halflings"?

[3]ºFaramir, Valiant Man of Gondor [Gondor]
Companion-Man
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 8
Ranger. Archer.
Fellowship: Add [3] and spot two Ringbound hobbits to remove a burden.
Don't like that. Maybe at the start of the fellowship phase you could do that, but otherwise you could just repeat it indefinitely and it could be a deathtrap or game-winning. Also it's [Gondor] burden removal which is a massive no-no. I would prefer a text going the other way, something like: "Spot 2 Ring-bound Hobbits and add a burden to remove [2]".

[2]ºThe Steward and the King
Condition-Support Area
While you can spot Aragorn, Boromir is resistance +2, Faramir is strength +2, and Denethor is strength -2.
Entertaining! Especially in Noble Leaders...

[3]ºFaramir, Valiant Man of Gondor [Gondor]
Companion-Man
Str: 7
Vit: 3
Res: 8
Ranger. Ringbound. Archer.
Each time Faramir loses a fierce skirmish, you may exert a ringbound hobbit to remove a threat.

Is this any better?

It's okay, but I would like a more straightforward card, something like "Each time Faramir wins a skirmish, you may heal another Ring-bound companion".

I'd just cut the text entirely.  Make him like that one borormir.

Needs to be Ring-bound, in my opinion, regardless of whether he has the Ring or not. I, for one, am fine with the resistance-pumping text, since it gets him up to being no better than Resolute Hobbit at its best. I think the skirmish ability is costly enough to work whether he has the Ring or not.

Yeah, not so good here. I think it makes sense for Faramir to work with RB Hobbits, but this doesn't work as well as Boromir. I like your rewrite, but perhaps reverse it: "Each time a Ring-bound Hobbit wins a skirmish, you may exert Faramir to remove a threat."

Just for kicks, do strength -1 and resistance -1 for Denethor. But a fun card.

[3]ºFaramir, Valiant Man of Gondor [Gondor]
Companion-Man
Str-7
Vit-3
Res-8
Ranger. Ringbound. Archer.
Faramir's resistance is not reduced by the number of burdens or by shadow cards.

Someone's come up with a keyword that's the same as his effect, but I really can't remember what it is.

It was me, but it's not quite the same. Unyielding is "this companion's resistance is not reduced by the number of burdens".

So if you borrow unyielding, that covers the first half, at least. You could always then add something like "Shadow cards cannot reduce Faramir's resistance" or something to his text as well. He'd be a rather odd Faramir since he lacks any noticeable ability, but I'd certainly consider him for the high resistance and perma-archer.
